How to clear your mind in quickly

Clearing your mind at will is a practice that some might say would take years to learn. Meditation is one of the most popular ways of doing this by sitting down and focusing on not thinking and breathing exercises. I have another alternative though and that is to exercise. Exercising very vigorously and getting you heart rate going is a great way to clear you mind very fast. Due to the fact that all you can think about is getting some air. The need to get more oxygen makes everything else irrelevant. Just imagine being held under water by someone. While your being held under your not thinking about your job, your phone, your family, money or anything except that you want to breath. And it is in that moment where your mind is totally free of burdens and thoughts about the past or future. You are in the here and now and able to appreciate it fully. So I'm not suggesting that you go out and get someone to hold your head under water, the equivalent to this is to exercise. Lifting weights, running, swimming, biking or anything that accelerates your heart rate past resting and gets the blood flowing will clear your mind.
This leads me to my overall idea that if you are in need of a break through for an idea or you are stressed and you want to just clear your head I suggest that you exercise and its good for your body as well.
